We are pleased to see the first use of the Indigenous Traders trade mark. āria foods is the first company to use the mark on its Awazibi Maple Syrup. The initiative is a joint venture between Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg, a First Nations band from Quebec, Canada and āria foods, a Māori owned New Zealand food cooperative, to jointly export/import between two international indigenous communities. It is still early days, but we will look to build on the lessons learned as we work with other indigenous communities to adopt the Indigenous Traders trade mark. So please support these two organizations as they deliver the best maple syrup to the world.
